In a significant spiritual and architectural milestone, the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir is set to host its second Pran Pratishtha ceremony on Thursday, June 5. This time, it is the consecration of King of Ram — the regal form of Lord Ram — accompanied by his divine court: Mata Sita, Lord Lakshman, and Hanuman.
This historic event comes nearly 17 months after the first Pran Pratishtha on January 22, 2024, which saw the installation of the baal roop (child form) of Lord Ram in the sanctum sanctorum. The latest phase of spiritual dedication will take place on the first floor of the Ram Mandir, further solidifying the temple’s religious grandeur.
Yogi Adityanath to Preside on His 53rd Birthday
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be the chief guest and will personally unveil the eyes of the idols, marking the ceremonial awakening (Netronmelan) of Raja Ram and Sita. The event, organised by Anjaneya Sewa Trust, holds added significance as it coincides with the CM’s 53rd birthday.
The three-day celebration began on June 3 with rituals led by Shashikant Maharaj of the Anjani Seva Sansthan. Vedic chants, fire rituals (havan), and holy processions have enveloped Ayodhya in a spiritual fervour.
Security and Sacredness: Tight Measures in Place
Despite the elaborate ceremonies, regular darshan of Ram Lalla continues. Authorities have deployed CRPF, SSF, and PAC units to maintain law and order, while a verification drive is underway in unauthorized settlements to ensure foolproof security.
To mark the occasion, over 62,000 boxes of prasad — featuring a signature barfi made from chickpea and moong dal — are being distributed. The sweets, crafted by Chhappan Bhog in Lucknow, are already en route to temples and spiritual centres nationwide.
Divine Design and Devotional Detail
The new Ram Darbar is a 4.5-foot sanctified space featuring white marble idols from Jaipur. Lord Ram and Mata Sita will be seated on a two-foot marble throne, flanked by Lord Hanuman and Lakshman. Renowned designer Manish Tiwari has crafted their robes using zari embroidery and gemstone embellishments.
While the sanctum will remain restricted to select devotees to preserve sanctity, the temple’s second floor will soon open as a digital and literary gallery — showcasing various versions of the Ramayana, including the oldest known scripts.
